At the First National Congress on Microfluidics Applications in Medicine and Engineering: Novel Microfluidic Fabrication Methods Presented by SRB Student

SRB researchers presented their achievements at the First National Congress on Microfluidics Applications in Medicine and Engineering, reports the Office of Public Relations (OPR) of the SRB.

Alireza Jahangiri, SRB physics student referring to his paper on "Template-free Synthesis of Nanoporous Membrane for Microfluidic Applications" said: “We presented a method based on kitchen-grade aluminum which does not rely on complex preparation procedures." Another student namely Zahra Moosavi, specializing on nano-physics presented her work on the widespread opportunities for microfluidics in biosensors and Organ-on-a-Chip, which highlighted the need for quick and facile fabrication methods.

Dr. Yousef Seyed Jalili, faculty member of the Plasma Physics Research Center and head of the Nano-Optoelectronic Lab. (http://nano-optoelectronic.srbiau.ac.ir/) said: “Although challenges are faced in the pursuit of knowledge, further research and development is necessary to meet the needs of society and that’s the reason of hard work and diligent effort of SRB researchers Lab across the such scientific projects at Nano-optoelectronic."
